Tax Exemption Form

This form allows businesses or individuals who qualify for tax exemption to make purchases without being charged sales tax on eligible items. To get started, please follow the steps outlined below.

Why Do You Need This Form?

If your business or organization is exempt from paying sales tax under Texas law, you must provide the necessary documentation to make tax-exempt purchases. By completing this form and submitting it to us, you can gain the ability to make tax-free purchases on our website.

Step 1: Complete the Texas Sales and Use Tax Resale Certificate Form

To begin, you’ll need to fill out the Texas Sales and Use Tax Resale Certificate (Form 01-339). This form verifies that you are eligible to make tax-exempt purchases based on your status as a resale or exempt organization.

  • Click here to access the Texas Sales and Use Tax Resale Certificate (Form 01-339)
  • The form is computer-fillable, meaning you can complete it directly on your computer and sign electronically (e-signature). However, you may need to download the file as the form may not be fully fillable in the preview link.
  • If you are unable to fill it out electronically, you can print the form, fill it out by hand, and sign it. Please ensure that your handwriting is clear and legible.
  • Once the form is completed and signed, you will need to submit it to us by following the step 2.

Step 2: Submit the Completed Form and A Copy of Your Permit

Please upload your completed and signed tax-exempt form, along with a copy of your Sales and Use Tax Permit, using this section. Ensure that the information you provide for your account is accurate so that we can easily locate your account and grant you tax-free purchase authorization if you are eligible.

  • Business Name: Your business name (the one with the tax-exempt status) should match the username used in your DTF Bank account.
  • Personal Name: If you have used your personal name to register your account on our website, ensure that the "Purchaser Signature" section of the tax-exempt form is mentioning your personal name alongside the signature.

Please note: Incorrect or misleading information will not be processed. If any discrepancies are found, your request will not be processed, and you will not receive a follow-up email to correct the issue.
